They're back! What are we talking about? the "Snowy Owl" .... these beautiful birds of prey have returned to the Jersey Shore.

This beautiful bird has come from the North. Migrating down from Canada and Arctic locations in search of food.  It prefers open country such as fields, pastures, coastal beaches and airports.

If you are going to go out and observe/photograph the owls be sure to keep your distance and let them have their space. Bring a good lens so you can get photos. You will be kinda far away so it's tough if you do not have a telephoto lens to zoom in on the bird. Watch the dunes too, keep off and it'll be a big help to everyone along the coast.

I spotted the "Snowy Owl" at Island Beach State Park and there were a lot of photographers out to grab some shots of this beauty. Enjoy and respect nature!
