You Have to See This! One of the Most Beautiful Displays by Nature in New Jersey!
This is one of the most beautiful displays you will see here in New Jersey and it's only with us for a short time. It's the fabulous cherry blossoms in Newark, New Jersey. Over 2,700 Japanese cherry trees. The Nation's largest cherry blossom tree collection, bigger than Washington D.C. right here in the Garden State.

The fantastic natural display happens every year at beautiful Branch Brook Park. It's about a 90-minute drive from Ocean County and it's well worth the drive. April and I took a ride this week because this is the peak season for the cherry blossoms, so if you are interested in going to see these beautiful trees ....don't wait too long!
An interesting note about Branch Brook Park, part of the Essex County Park System, is America's FIRST ever public county park....it was the first in the nation. Branch Brook Park first opened in 1896, but work began in 1867. It's a beautiful park and one you should put on your list if you love checking out the most beautiful spots in New Jersey, especially now during the annual cherry blossom season. A portion of the park is also located within the Township of Belleville.
Now if you are unable to make the trip to Branch Brook Park in Newark, I put together a photo gallery for you to enjoy and see the cherry blossoms as we did during our visit to Branch Brook Park. Take a look at this natural beauty that happens every spring here in New Jersey at historic Branch Brook Park.
