What Makes A Great Milkshake?

I am not an expert on milkshakes, but I do know what I like, and a good thick shake is my favorite. Made with good ice cream and topped with real whipped cream and a cherry! I actually planted a cherry tree this spring and hope to top my milkshakes with my own.
