Saturday Night was the perfect night for cooking in your backyard. Clear skies, cool temps and of course the weekend! So we decided to make "smores" and I must be honest I've never really had a "fresh out of the fire" smore. So on our travels Saturday afternoon Erin informed me "Let's make smores" and after getting the chocolate, graham cracker and marshmellows we were off to bake!

Well I must say that after getting out the giant bbq forks and burnin up some marshmellows, we had some excellent smores! Made for a nice Saturday Night with a cup of coffee....To bad the Devils lost , but the smores did help lol..... I saw friends on facebook posting that they also whipped up some smores!

Here's a recipe for you and your family this summer:

Cook Time: 6 minutes

Total Time: 6 minutes

Ingredients:

  • graham crackers
  • chocolate bars
  • marshmallows

Preparation:

Place graham crackers on baking sheet. Put 1 square of chocolate on each cracker. Place a marshmallow on each piece of chocolate. Put in a 350° oven for 4 to 6 minutes, just long enough to melt marshmallow and soften the chocolate. Remove from oven and put another graham cracker on top to make a sandwich.
With a campfire or firepit....simply take one graham cracker , out piece of chocolate on it....toast marshmellow...put on and top with another graham cracker. Let sit for a second or too to melt alil an you got it !
Have fun this Summer around the campfire and/or firepit ... but always be responsible and make sure fires are out at the end of the night ! ENJOY
Do you have a campfire snack besides "smores" that you make ? Please share :^)
