American Dream Mall Update: Stores Confirmed, Opening Pushed Back
Stop me if you've heard this one before - the American Dream Mall at the Meadowlands will not be opening in the time frame that we were last given.
I'm not going to rehash the whole thing in this article. If you want, you can go back and read the whole odyssey by clicking here.
The short version, though, is that the last target of a summer 2019 opening will not be happening.
So, in a nutshell:
- It was going to open this March. Until it didn't.
- Then, it was pegged to open in June. But, no, that won't happen, either.
- Then, a number of weeks ago the project's developers made a rare comment, zeroing in on a "late summer" opening.
But, now that's been pushed back as well.
According to NorthJersey.com, the new target for a ribbon cutting is simply being stated as "this fall".
The article does go on to confirm a number of retailers that had been rumored previously; like Saks Fifth Avenue, H&M, and Gucci among others.
The story goes on to point out that stores will open in a staggered manner, saying that:
...tenants will begin opening their doors through this year's holiday season, and also into early 2020.
You can finally follow along now, at least. You can keep an eye on the progress at the mall's official Instagram page by clicking here.
