You may not realize it, but scores of New Jerseyans have seen the outside of North America's first indoor ski and snowboard park to feature real snow.

Yes, that is the American Dream Mall's massive indoor ski slope that's been towering over the New Jersey Meadowlands for years.

Today, we got the official word on when we'll be able to see the inside of it.

In a Friday, October 11th press release, Big SNOW at the American Dream Mall announced that they will officially open on Thursday, December 5th, 2019.

The press release touts the, "180,000 square foot, 16 story, climate-controlled ski slope" that features real snow, a first for North America.

The representatives go on to boast about the 4-acres of slopes that will feature over 5,500 tons of real snow.

The first phase of American Dream, the Nickelodeon Universe theme park and the mall's ice rink, The Rink at American Dream, are on the calendar to cut their ribbons in two weeks, on Friday, October 25th.
