Ok, stick with me on this because there's not a ton of information to share right now about the Nickelodeon Universe theme park at the American Dream Mall (and not many official photos either, which is why I went with the above SpongeBob & Patrick photo from 2015).

But, here's what we do know about the opening of the American Dream Mall's Nickelodeon Universe theme park on Friday (October 25th).

Nickelodeon Universe Stats

At 8.5 acres, the Nickelodeon Universe theme park will be the largest indoor theme park in North America. The only one larger is in Abu Dhabi.

There will be 35 rides for both kids and adults alike.

Nickelodeon Universe Admission Prices

  • "All Access" tickets will cost you $49.99
  • "General Access" tickets are $39.99

Nickelodeon Universe Hours

Ok, so here's where some conditions come in.

As of right now, you can't just show up, buy tickets at a booth, and get slimed.

If you want to check out Nickelodeon Universe during its opening weekend, you're almost out of luck.

Tickets for Friday and Saturday are already sold out, and as of this writing the only tickets available for Sunday are "All Access" tickets for the 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. block.

After the weekend, though, tickets are still available at both price levels for all time blocks, including 10 a.m. - 3 p.m and 4 p.m. - 9 p.m.

How To Get To Nickelodeon Universe

As of right now you can either drive, the address is 1 American Dream Way, East Rutherford, NJ, or you can take a New Jersey Transit bus.

What about the train?

Well, that's a good question.

According to NJ.com, there have been some hiccups in hammering out details for rail service to the complex.

Right now, trains run to the Meadowlands during special events like football games and concerts, but as of this writing, there aren't any published timetables for daily train service to accommodate Nickelodeon Universe patrons.

What Else Is Opening On Friday?

In addition to the Nickelodeon Universe theme park, The Rink at American Dream ice rink will also open.

As far as the ice rink is concerned, well, what you see above it about all that we know as of this writing. There hasn't been an official announcement about operating hours, admission, or even if you can rent skates there.

Here's what American Dream's official page says about the rink:

...American Dream’s NHL-regulation size ice rink features activities for the entire family, including open skating, figure skating, hockey tournaments, events and more. A spooky skate is planned for October 31st – arrive in style and experience autumn like never before. Join us for pumpkin pick-and-paint, farm favorites, face painting and Fall-tivities.

What About Parking?

Parking this weekend is free.

Parking after this weekend isn't.

According to NJ.com, the parking rates will go from free for up to 29 minutes all the way up to $24 for more than 8 hours. You can click here for more from the American Dream website.

What Else Is Opening?

This weekend, nothing.

The huge 3-story candy store "IT'SUGAR" was set to open on Friday, but apparently it won't.
