The latest data, in a recent Patch article, from U.S. News and World Report ranks high schools on various factors, including these six factors:

  • college curriculum breadth
  • reading and math proficiency
  • college readiness
  • graduation rates.
  • reading and math performance
  • underserved student performance

We took the latest data and broke it down a bit further, highlighting the "BEST" here at the Jersey Shore. Here are the top-performing schools in Ocean and Monmouth Counties....Monmouth County Dominated the list here at the Shore with ALL nine schools that made it into the top 100 in Amerca

  1. High Technology High School, Monmouth County Vocational School District, Lincroft
  2. Biotechnology High School, Monmouth County Vocational School District, Freehold
  3. Marine Academy of Science and Technology, Monmouth County Vocational School District, Highlands
  4. Academy of Allied Health and Science, Monmouth County Vocational School District, Neptune
  5. Communications High School, Monmouth County Vocational School District, Wall
  6. Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School District, Rumson

The Highest Ranked school nationally was Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology - Alexandria, Virginia
