Kiters From Around The World Head to Long Beach Island This Weekend
"Kiters from around the world will be flying artist kites, giant inflatable kites, and demonstrating sport kite flying techniques on local Ship Bottom, Brant Beach, and Barnegat Light beaches during the Kite Festival"
Kiters from around the world will converge this weekend on Long Beach Island for the 4th Annual LBI FLY International Kite Festival.
This weekend domestic and international kite professionals will participate in this four-day festival. This event will run from October 5th through the 8th.
According to festival officials and the LBI Chamber of Commerce there will also be an Indoor Fly Competition, a Main Field for giant 3D kites in Ship Bottom, an illuminated Night Fly in Barnegat Light, an additional kite field in Brant Beach, a Kite Battle between the LBI Towns, Bol Kite Racing, Buggy Kite Rides for Kids, and much more.
All spectators are welcome at this event and admission to the daytime beach events are free. Night events (Indoor Fly Competition and Barnegat Light Night Fly) cost $2/per person. Kids Kite-making costs $6 per kite.
