In this latest "webisode" of my series Hiking New Jersey we took a trip right here in Ocean County, to Cloverdale Farm County Park in Barnegat Township. It was our first trip to this Southern Ocean County park.

Cloverdale Farm County Park was a great find right here in Ocean County. For hikers I do admit you are limited to their one trail. It's the "Red" trail and it circles the complex grounds. The trail is about mile and a half, so if you do twice you can get a good 3 mile hike in. The trail is well marked and clear with a scenic view of the cranberry bogs that are on the farm grounds. So I would definitely mark this down in the "easy" category and a doable walk for everyone.

On the park grounds you can also visit their fantastic visitor center which has all kinds of exhibits and history of this Ocean County farm. Check with the Park for "visitor center" hours.

There are maps available and rest rooms as well. There are plenty of birds on the farm and if you wanna bring a camera it's a good "bird watching" area as well.

Glad we made a visit this is one park we will definitely visit again.
