It might be 55 degrees in Toms River as I type this, but by the time that this article is posted, winter will have officially begun.

While there aren't fireworks or trumpets or anything, the moment that winter begins is actually very specific.

This year, winter began today (December 21st) at exactly 5:23 p.m.

That is the exact moment of the year that the North Pole is tilted the furthest from the sun.

And while the uncertainty of the winter weather season is here, it also means that these short days will start to get just a little longer each day.

Speaking of winter weather, you know that when it hits we've got you covered!
