When you have a business that closes is a new similar business the best idea? Or do you think a fresh “different” idea is the way to go? Really there is no clear cut idea that is right. Obviously there are dollars attached to these locations and that is the driving force as to what happens or not in most cases. No one is going to give away prime real estate in Toms River for free, just to see a rejuvenation project.

This parcel of land is the site of the former Boston’s Restaurant and Sports Bar on the corner of Fischer Blvd and Hooper Ave in Toms River. A restaurant I enjoyed, but did not stand the test of time......like a lot of businesses here in Ocean County. Now it sits and waits for the next chapter but what will that be?

I did some investigating on this piece of Toms River Township. This property is located at 1699 Hooper Avenue  and is listed with Keller Williams. Price tag $5,950,000 with total lot size 7.76 acres. Obviously this is not a small project, there is a lot of money involved. This project would take some big investors but it is a prime piece of real estate located on the corner of two of the most traveled roads in Toms River (Fischer & Hooper).

My question for you is simple, rebuild on the existing floor plan (restaurant/golf) or bulldoze and restart with a fresh new idea? What is your 💡?
