Walking the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights

Nothing says summer then a trip to the boardwalk, and there are none that compare to the boards here at the Jersey Shore. On this edition (seventh) of the Jersey Shore Journal, we take you for a video stroll down the iconic Seaside Heights Boardwalk.

We grew up loving a trip to Seaside for a night on the boards eating, playing games and going on the rides! After Superstorm Sandy smashed the boardwalk, the area has rebuilt and come back to be a great place for families.

One of the stops in our video was to the historic "carousel" at Casino Pier. The carousel was originally built in 1910, with some of the original pieces dating back to the 1890's. The carousel has operated on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk since 1932.
