A Royal Visit to Georgian Court University Today!

It's a "Royal Visit" to Ocean County! Queen Elizabeth's youngest son Prince Edward is coming to Lakewood today (Thursday) for a visit to Georgian Court University. Prince Edward is taking part in a nine-day tour of the United States to raise support for his father Prince Philip's International Award program. The award recognizes 14 to 24-year-olds who achieve goals in particular skills, culture, physical ability, and interests.

According to an Asbury Park Press report, the program focuses on volunteer service, educational achievement, honing skills in various arts, sports, physical recreation and fitness, and adventure or expedition.
