Sometimes You Just Need a Junk Food Fix
Just yesterday, The Ocean County Breakfast Show were talking about the new year and breaking bad food habits. Today, I owned a bad food habit unashamedly.
While I’m not a health nut by any stretch of the imagination, I at least try to be smart with what I eat. I generally avoid fried food. I eschew lots of fatty condiments and toppings. And I try to keep portion sizes reasonable.
But today I had a craving. I couldn’t tell you why, maybe it’s stress, maybe it’s the weather, maybe it’s just getting over the flu. I wanted junk food.
So I got a Whopper for lunch (and fries, of course).
I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time I had a fast food hamburger. But I’m honestly a believer in eating whatever you want, as long as you’re smart about it. A fast food extra value meal every day for lunch isn’t going to help you with any New Year’s resolutions, but once every couple of weeks isn’t going to kill you. So why not?
