Yesterday's snow storm wasn't fun for anyone - well, maybe for the kids who got the day off of school and got to play in the snow. But for those of us who were digging out last night and today, it wasn't the way most of us would choose to spend our time. However, it's a hassle that's necessary.

When I was on my way to work this morning, I saw this vehicle:

As we've discussed a couple of times, it's the law in NJ that we must remove all of the snow from our vehicles before going out.

Now, I do understand when some people have large SUVs or mini vans, it may be difficult to get all of the snow off of the roof. But for a car like the one in the picture above, I honestly can't think of any explanation besides laziness. The person obviously cleared enough snow off to see out of their windows, and that's about it.

A couple of days ago, I actually overheard someone say, "oh, I don't brush the snow off my car, it just blows off when I get on the highway".

If that car was going 60 on the Parkway, that snow is either going to blow off and get in the faces of the drivers behind it, or if it's frozen, it could come off in one big chunk and cause a serious accident (which will result in a stiff fine).

So please, for the other drivers out on the road and for your own wallet, clean the snow off your car completely.
