Let's be honest, those of us who travel the Garden State Parkway every day know that most people ignore the posted speed limit. That being said, do you think that the speed limit should officially be raised?

You'll remember that a number of years ago, the main stretch of the Parkway that goes through the heart of Ocean County was lowered from 65 to 55.

Did you see a change in driving habits?

No, I didn't either.

If one state representative gets his way though, we could see that limit not only jump back to where it was before, but possibly even up to 75.

There are two schools of thought - one, being that people already break the speed limit, so if the posted restriction is raised, people will drive even faster than they already do.

The other theory, though, is that people are already speeding, so raising the limit won't do much aside from saving a lot of state troopers a lot of ticket writing time.

So what do you think of the proposed speed limit change in NJ? Vote below and feel free to elaborate in the comments section!
