Take a Trip To an Ocean County Historical Landmark [VIDEO]

When was the last times you visited "Old Barney?" The Barnegat Lighthouse has been a visitor destination for a long time. The Lighthouse began with construction in 1835 and guided ships for years through the Barnegat Inlet.
The Park, which is a State Park, is a great day-trip and you can sight-see, fish, hike, picnic and climb "Old Barney". We decided to picnic and there are plenty of picnic tables to sit and have a great lunch with the best view in town!
Parking is available and free at the park. There is a small fee to climb the lighthouse, but you can picnic and hike the park for free. There are restrooms and a gift shop, plus a visitor center. It's a great day-trip for this summer.... oh, and yes, I had liverwurst! YUMMY.
