Take a Look at the Progress Being Made on the Seaside Park Boardwalk

The devastating Seaside Park fire was six months ago now. This past weekend I took advantage of the beautiful, spring-like weather on Saturday to take a look for myself.

As you can see from the picture above, there is some progress being made.

While the Seaside Park portion of the boardwalk, and the businesses that were there haven't been rebuilt yet, aside from the smoke damage on the still standing Saw Mill, you wouldn't necessarily know that an all consuming fire reduced it all to ashes only a few months ago.

As with any disasters of this scale, there has been some tension and work has stalled at times, but it's good to see workers, heavy equipment, and at least some progress being made.

We proved that we could come back from Sandy, so I don't see any reason why we couldn't come back from this disaster as well.
