Project Sing Out Featuring 2 Ocean County Students

PROJECT SING OUT!, a one-night-only "live-streamed" event to raise funds for the Educational Theatre Foundation (ETF) has announced additional performers set to join the broadcast on Monday, July 20 at 7 p.m.

The broadcast can be viewed exclusively on Playbill.com’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page. Donations to support the Educational Theatre Foundation can be made at www.projectsingout.org.

Included in this fantastic night of music for the arts are two local high school students from Ocean County:

Makayla Bird-Thespian Troupe 7455, Toms River High School North

Both of these Mariners, John and Makayla, will join in on an all-star even to raise funds for the Educational Theatre Foundation this coming Monday, July 20th.

Makayla Bird and John Claude Yambao are both singing with Telly Leung, who originated roles on Broadway in Allegiance and In Transit.

Project Sing Out! will feature performances and special appearances by Robin Roberts (“Good Morning America”), Emmy, Grammy, Academy Award and Tony Award winner Whoopi Goldberg (“The View”), Tony Award winner BD Wong (Mr. Robot, “Gotham”) and many many more.

"Project Sing Out! was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift in education across the country. Executive Producer Hailey Kilgore saw a need in schools and the event will raise funds to support arts education, specifically in low-income communities and communities of color."
