Ocean County Artist Paints a Maritime Mural

Murals are becoming more and more popular to add color, scenery and art to towns throughout Ocean County. Local artists are using space available to create local works of art. I think it's great and I love to photograph these projects.

The latest mural I spotted is in Downtown Tuckerton, a maritime mural done by local business owner/artist Kathleen Francis. Mrs. Francis, co-owner of the Shoppes at the Tuckerton Emporium, painted the mural to honor the area's privateer history.

In an article in the Tuckerton/Little Egg Harbor Leader (a Sandpaper Publication) …. the mural pays homage to local privateers during the Revolutionary War. Next time your visiting the Tuckerton Emporium be sure to check out this beautiful mural.
