A Middlesex County man was arrested on charges related to his alleged practicing of law in Monmouth County without a license, according to Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Julia Alonso.
Allen Yusufov, 37, of Monroe Township is accused of working out of offices on Gordons Corner Road in Manalapan and Newman Springs Road in Middletown -- which had a Red Bank mailing address -- and providing legal services on four real estate transactions, three of which occurred in Monmouth County.
He allegedly provided such services on transactions that took place between August of 2020 and September of 2022 for properties on Randall Drive in Manalapan, Devon Place in Marlboro, McKinley Drive in Ocean Township, and Woodruff Place up in Hillside-Union County, according to an investigation by the MCPO Financial Crimes and Public Corruption Unit.
Authorities said they checked through records and learned that Yusufov never had a legitimate New Jersey law license and allegedly forged a document featuring grammar errors that wrongfully said he was in "good standing" to practice law in the Garden State.
Monmouth County Prosecutors did learn he is legitimately licensed to do so though in New York.
Yusufov was arrested this week without incident on charges of four counts of third-degree Unauthorized Practice of Law and a single count of fourth-degree Uttering a Forged Instrument was and released on a complaint-summons pending future proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court.

If you have any information about Yusufov’s alleged activity, you're urged to contact MCPO Detective Robert Afanasewicz toll-free at 1-800-533-7443.
Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Lawrence Nelsen, Director of the MCPO Financial Crimes and Public Corruption Unit is handling the case in court.
