So a while back I did an original photo gallery entitled "Backyard Friends" and it was just that, photos of some of the animals that we see on a regular basis here in New Jersey. Everything from squirrels to bluejays to cardinals and more. Lots of animals you may see in your backyard as well.

First Bensy, she is our squirrel friend who comes by each day in hopes of getting a peanut. Bensy will knock on the back door each morning and wait for her peanut, she will take it right from our hands. Amazing that this squirrel will be so personable. She's been stopping by for months now and is a regular in the backyard.

We are amazed at how intelligent the squirrels are, especially Bensy. The picture above is her waiting at the back door after she knocks lol. Does anyone else have a squirrel friend?

Meet the "Cardinals" Red and his wife. They come by the backyard on regular basis. Sometimes Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal argue over a peanut, but in the end they seem to like each other lol

Another backyard friend is Blue and the Blues Brothers. Blue Jays love peanuts and if you toss a peanut or two out, you will get a few bluejays visiting. When we saw several always coming, well we nicknamed them "the Blues Brothers".

There are also the "sparrows" who come by several times a day, they prefer the bird feeders because they are just too little for a peanut. They will try to grab a peanut, but it's just too much, which the "blues brothers" are fine with because it's more for them.

In addition, we have woodpeckers, deer, hawks, mourning doves, owls, etc. What type of "backyard friends" do you have visiting your backyard? Share any of your pics below, we would love to see your friends.
