Last night members of the Community, Law Enforcement and Townsquare Media came together to discuss the epidemic of heroin here in Ocean County. "Hometown Heroin" took place Monday Night at the Jay & Linda Grunin Center For The Arts at Ocean County College in Toms River ...Thanks to everyone who took part, I was glad I went and listened.

One "theme" that I found to repeat throughout the evening is that there is no single answer or cure for the drug problem here in Ocean County and that there are multiple reasons for addiction. I found the speakers to be insightful and informative and hopefully in future "town halls" on this issue we may get to more questions and input from the public, but we were on a time limit and this is such a big topic here in our community.

So what do you think this answer is?

  • More arrests on the street?
  • More Jail Time?
  • More Education?
  • Better Recovery Programs?
  • Less prescriptions?
  • All of the Above?

Share your thoughts and what you think needs to be done to help heal Ocean County
