Our latest webisode of Hiking NJ, we take a trip to Eno's Pond County Park. The park is part of the Ocean County Park System. Eno's Pond is located in Forked River. The park is situated right next to the historic Captain's Inn.

Eno's Pond is a simple and clean Ocean County park. We enjoyed our time there this weekend. As far as hiking, the they have one trail....the "red trail. It basically circles the park, with part crossing into the Edwin B Forsythe Wildlife National Wildlife Refuge. The "red" trail is about  1 1/2 miles if you take all connections in. Not a long hike, but if you do several times you get a good hike in.

Lots of scenery on this small hike. The park has an observation deck on the pond, so you can take in the water and wildlife. Plenty of benches throughout the park if you wanna stop off and take in the sights. Trail is well marked. The trail is flat, wide and compact....so it's an "easy" hike.

Eno's Pond has restrooms and a children's park for the kids to play. The park also has picnic tables for lunch. It's only minutes off Route 9 in Lacey Township and a nice quiet spot to enjoy nature here in Ocean County.
