Erica is part of the WOBM Hometown Crew. She’s young and she has dreams.  And in some way, we think we’re helping her get closer to her dream.  She wants a bakery/sweet shop and you know what, she’ll have one someday!  But for now she bakes for The Ocean County Breakfast Show every Friday morning and shares her everything home-made goodies!

Chocolate Chip Brownie Pop

Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 Cup Softened Salted Butter

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

3/4 Cup Sugar

2 Tbs vanilla

2 Eggs

2  1/4 Cup Flour

1 tsp Baking Soda

1 Cup Semi Sweet Chips

1/8 tsp salt

Sea Salt (garnish)

Instructions:

-Cream butter and sugar

_Add Vanilla and eggs

-In a seperate bowl, combine Flour and Baking Soda

-Combine dry mix with wet mixture

-Add chocolate chips

-let chill in fridge for an hour

-Butter a baking sheet and form tablespoon size balls (will expand, so leave room)

-Sprinkle with sea salt (optional)

Bake at 35- for 8-12 minutes

Let cool. You will only need about 4 large cookies for the pops so you are free to enjoy the rest!

Brownie pop

-Whip up a batch of your favorite brownie recipe

-Let cool and crumble in a large bowl

-Mix the crumbled brownie with icing, just enough so you can form them into balls, she used a Vanilla Buttercream

-Form into balls and refrigerate for 1-2 hours

-In a crockpot, melt 3-4 cups semisweet chocolate chips

-Take your pop sticks, dip the end of the stick in chocolate and stick into your brownie

-Dip the brownie into the chocolate and sprinkle with the crumpled chocolate chip cookies

-Refrigerate until hardened
