As we continue with the State shutdown here in New Jersey, it is still unclear if kids will be returning to school this "school year" or waiting until September to be back in school.

As far as Seniors in the Class of 2020, many will go quietly into their next phase of life without a big graduation sendoff.

This won't be the case for seniors at Toms River HS East, North and South. School Superintendent David Healy, in a recent Asbury Park Press  article, made a guarantee to the Class of 2020: there will be a 2020 graduation ceremony, complete with caps and gowns and presentation of diplomas.

Now when that would happen is still unclear in fact it may be next school year. Possibly  Thanksgiving weekend, or winter break when seniors who have moved on to college would likely be back home to visit family.

School officials will still have to wait from word from Governor Murphy if or when school might be back in session.
