Yesterday was a horrible weather day here in Ocean County on Tuesday as Tropical Storm Isaias made its way through the area, leaving behind power outages, downed trees, and property damage.

The height of the storm was from 11 a.m. to around 4 p.m. Thousands were left without power and remain out of power today. There was some good news though, as some areas that were without power overnight have seen power restored this morning. The strongest winds were recorded on Long Beach Island at nearly 110 mph.

Stay with 92.7 WOBM throughout the day as we keep you posted on the latest news and information. A big thank you to the crews who are out and helping to restore power in Ocean County. Be careful today during clean-up after the storm and stay away from any wires that are down in your neighborhood.

Weather for today should be much better with sunny skies and a high near 85. Hopefully, with the improved weather conditions, we can get back on track and clean up after this storm. Weather tonight should be comfortable with partly cloudy skies and lows in the 60s.

Listeners sent in photos from their encounter with Isaias and we wanted to share some with you. Be safe and this too shall pass. Share any of your photos with us on our social media as we stay connected with you with 92.7 WOBM.
