There are few places in New Jersey steeped in as much lore as Action Park. Just last week we told you about the impending return of the legendary water park. When we talk about the good old days of the summertime getaway, the infamous looping water slide always comes into the conversation.

It stood for many years unused, like a totem to someone's twisted idea of "fun". Lots of people had stories of actually seeing folks go in the top and exit out the bottom unscathed, but it seemed difficult to come across actual proof.

And then I saw a link on a friend's Facebook page. Apparently, the website Deadspin was able to track down some grainy, 30 year old video of people actually going through the deadly drop.

Without further ado, watch for yourself:

Will you be visiting the new Action Park when it reopens this summer?
