I love when an artist is down to earth and accessible to their fans. It's even better when it's a huge star like Billy Joel.

Billy Joel has nothing left to prove - he's gotten the awards, he has the gold and platinum records, and he's sold out the stadiums. He could just sit back, enjoy his success, and never have to interact with us "normal" people.

But he recently held a Q&A at Vanderbilt University when a gutsy student in the audience offered to accompany the Piano Man on one of his own biggest hits - "New York State of Mind".
