Suffice to say, yesterday afternoon and evening were a blur for many of us here in Ocean County. This morning we woke up and got a full look at the devastation in Seaside.
When we look back at the summer of 2013, we may remember the wet June, the hot July and a fairly mild August. But, it was actually one for the record books.
Labor Day weekend is only days away, and the crowds could be epic at the Seaside Heights boardwalk as we get into the long holiday weekend. So why not come out today and enjoy with the family?

Whether you call them "lightning bugs" or "fireflies", most kids love catching the iridescent insects. and I was definitely one of them. Decades later, when I see that distinct green flash, I still cup my hands and try to catch them.
This past weekend turned out to be a beautiful weather weekend. I wanted to do something outdoors but I didn't want to travel far. A friend suggested a trip to Cattus Island County Park.
