Man Attempts ATM Theft At Toms River Deli
Toms River Police are investigating a break-in at the Whitesville Market and Deli.
Police say the incident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday. Security video shows a suspect using a small tool to shatter the front door, then attempting to pry open the ATM machine.
The suspect fled without any proceeds, but caused over $500 in damage says Chief Mike Mastronardy.
The suspect is described as a white male with a black hooded jacket with white lettering, wearing dark jeans, and a light colored hat with a dark face covering. The suspect may be operating a light colored sedan, possibly an Infinity, and may have been involved in other similar burglaries that occurred this morning in other ocean county communities.
