What You Need to know About Today’s Storm in Ocean County

It feels we can never just have a regular rain storm, whatever that means. With no winds, no thunder...just rain.

Here are a couple of things to look out for today, according to Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow:

*Thunderstorms will begin around 11 a.m. with the strong rain coming around 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. Gusty winds could bring down trees and cause power outages.

*Heavy, heavy rain with a flash flood watch for Ocean and Monmouth Counties this afternoon. 1" to 2" of rain with a possibility of higher amounts.

*Later tonight after the storm, there will be some rain here and there.

*Tomorrow the sun will be back out!
