Students from the Ocean County Vocational Technical High School system are headed to a national competition later this month.

They're headed to Kansas City for the Skills USA National Leadership and Skills Conference, a showcase of 5,600 career and technical education students from all over the country.

Students work against the clock and each other, proving their expertise in occupations like electronics, computer-aided drafting, precision machining, medical assisting and culinary arts.
