It is the 17th anniversary of the terror attacks on America. September 11th, 2001 nearly 3,000 Americans lost their lives and Tuesday there will be numerous ceremonies around New Jersey.

Toms River will host a ceremony hosted by Toms River Fire Companies 1 and 2. The ceremony, open to the public, will begin at 9:30 a.m. At the corner of Washington Street and Robbins Street in downtown Toms River.

If the weather does not cooperate .....the ceremony will be held inside Toms River Town Hall.

In Monmouth County .....at the Monmouth County 9/11 Memorial at the Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook in Atlantic Highlands, there will be a tribute to the 147 men and women who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks.

Also in Middletown......Middletown Township remembers its 37 residents who died in the terrorist attack on 9/11/01 with a moment of silence and wreath tribute in the Wold Trade Center Memorial located at 36 Church Street (next to the NJ Transit station).
