The Lakewood School District is the Focus of a Discrimination Probe

A probe is being launched into possible discrimination within the Lakewood School District. According to the Asbury Park Press, the Newark-based Education Law Center is in the exploratory stages of an investigation into the districts special education funding. It's based on the newspapers findings that millions of tax dollars are going toward the funding of nearly all-white private schools in a district that's 90 percent black and hispanic.
