Thousands in Ocean County will remember this week as the week that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay not only filmed an episode of his TV show "24 Hours to Hell and Back" here in Toms River, but even more importantly as the week that he changed the life of a Beachwood 12-year-old who has been battling cancer.

There's a lot to recap, so we'll just direct you back to our previous coverage of Chef Ramsay's filming at Caneda's White Rooster on Fischer Boulevard, which you can see by clicking here.

The plea by the father of Kallista Flores, who has Gordon's TV shows to thank for keeping her spirits up while undergoing treatment for leukemia, for the slim chance for his daughter to meet her idol. That, you can see by clicking here.

The amazing moment when Gordon showed up at Toms River Intermediate South and surprised Kallista, that can be found here.

And, don't miss our interview with Kallista and her father, that's right here.

But wait, there's more!

Gordon Ramsay's official Facebook page shared their behind the scenes video of how it all went down, take a look:

Can we also point out the fact that Chef Ramsay not only took time out of his busy filming schedule to meet Kallista, not only stopped to bring her fresh baked treats, not only generously gave of his time, but also made an amazing donation to the GoFundMe campaign for Kallista's treatment:

You're reading that correctly. Gordon Ramsay personally donated over $10,000.

Yes, Ocean County will remember this week for a long time. Not because a celebrity TV chef stopped by our small corner of the world, but because he forever changed the world of one of our own who has battled for her life.

Thank you, Chef Ramsay, on behalf of all of Ocean County.
