Meditation can be challenging for beginners. It may take a while before you can actually quiet your mind, but that's why they call it a meditation practice. You have to keep at it. You'll be glad you did.

I'm envisioning sitting in my backyard, surrounded by trees, listening to birds, and feeling the breeze as I do some reading. And when the showers come, I'll move inside to where my couch and TV are. There's a DVR full of shows that I'd like to watch guilt-free.

As I looked at the scene in the picture above, I was wondering if it was my doorway to enlightenment, a hatch to heaven, An opening to relaxation, or a pathway to panic. I was about to "float".
