Hiking NJ: Washington Crossing State Park [VIDEO] In this "webisode" of my series Hiking NJ we took a trip to Mercer County to visit Washington Crossing State Park. what I really loved about this location is the mix of outdoors and history right here in New Jersey.

Hiking NJ: Parvin State Park .... This edition of Hiking NJ we are off to Salem County and a visit to Parvin State Park in Pittsgrove Township. The State Park is a beauty wrapped around Lake Parvin and Lake Thundergust.

The weather is cooler, the bugs are leaving and the colors are popping .... it's a great time to hike! I love hiking because it's something everyone can do, unlike running it has far less aches and pains and you can hike a short distance or take it further if you want.

Hiking New Jersey: Weltz Park [VIDEO]

We found it to be a good hike. Not many inclines just a few and there are some muddy areas closer to the creek, but overall it was a nice quiet hike as we did not encounter a lot of hikers.

In this edition of "Hiking New Jersey" we go lil beyond. Hershey, Pennsylvania is our latest hike. We have done a lot with Hershey this Summer, so if you find yourself at the Sweetest Place on Earth....maybe walk off a little of that chocolate with a nice hike.

The degree of difficulty is rather minimal, as most of the trails are packed fairly well and flat. There are a few occasions when there is slight elevation and density, but nothing too difficult. It is summer so be sure to wear insect repellent and sunblock.
