The trend has been shared across Northeast states due to recent unusually high prices for reformulated gasoline, which must be sold through Sept. 15.

New Jersey is the last state where self-serve gasoline isn't allowed. The bill would require full-serve pumps at stations with more than four dispensers.

Lots of gapers, few takers for gasoline at $9.49 a gallon. Sounds like a ridiculous price, right? But there was a time when $4.00 a gallon looked impossible, too. A group of independent Lukoil station operators pin it on pricing policies they call unfair and unethical.

More than 50 independent Lukoil dealers plan to raise their price per gallon to $8.00 or higher Wednesday, in a display of defiance over the company's pricing policies. The retailers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania belong to the New Jersey Gasoline, C-Store, Automotive Association...

I really like to put polls up and let you have your say. We generally talk about it on the air a few times and that's that. But this topic really sparked a firestorm on our Facebook page and here at WOBM.com.

It seems to be one of those things that people either don't mind, or hate...pumping their own gas. New Jersey and Oregon are the only states in the US where an attendant must pump the gas.
