This hack might help frequent expressway commuters save a decent chunk of change.

Customers can enable alerts each time a toll is charged along the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and Atlantic City Expressway.

This is a big pet peeve for a lot of New Jersey drivers: don't slow down under the express NJ E-ZPass lane on the Garden State Parkway!

The exact change lanes at the Toms River toll plaza are no more. Say hello to "full service" lanes.

We've had some constructive Parkway conversations lately. First, I shared my choices for the worst stretches of the roadway. Then, we had a debate about the merits of going Express or Local. But I found one thing surprising through the course of the conversations - the number of people who mentioned not using E-ZPass.

In my rush to get out of the house and onto the Parkway, I forgot my EZ Pass transponder.  (It's usually in my car, but recently I borrowed it for a trip in another vehicle.) This brain lapse of leaving EZ Pass in that other car caused me aggravation and definitely added time onto my trip last week...
