Over the past couple of months we have been telling you about the ongoing effort by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority to phase out exact change lanes throughout the state.

Well, the changes have finally been made! On my way to Kean University yesterday, I was driving through the Toms River toll plaza and I noticed something different...

...weird green signs labeled "FULL SERVICE" and then the normal purple "E-ZPass" lanes, however there was a complete absence of the giant blue "EXACT CHANGE" lanes.

I have to be honest with you, I am not a fan. Look, I get that there have been problems with the exact change lanes getting the right amount of change but not letting people through, but the bulk of New Jersey really took these lanes for granted and I feel like we are going to see this as time goes on without the exact change lanes.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that the changes are also a way to divert people to get an EZ-Pass.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the new full service lanes? Let us know in the comment section.
