Student walkouts are planned around the Nation on Wednesday, marking the one month anniversary of the Parkland, Florida High School Shooting.

Nationally, walkouts are planned for 10 am with 17 minutes of silence for the 17 students and staff killed in the Parkland tragedy. The walkout is an effort to demand stricter gun laws. School officials are working on ways to handle the possible walkouts. Some districts are supporting the event while others are threatening suspension for any students who do walk out of class.

Our question for YOU is simple, is this the best way to go about this protest? Do YOU think it's a safe and productive event for kids to stage a "walkout" during the school day?
