Ocean County Mall – Two New Stores Will Be Part Of Redevelopment

It's been 6 months since the owners of the Ocean County Mall got the official go-ahead to undertake a major redevelopment project, and today, Simon Property Group announced a pair of tenants that will be coming to Hooper Avenue.

In addition to the currently under construction BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, Simon announced that the space where Sears used to be will feature an LA Fitness gym and a Homesense home store.

The press release outlines a planned 34,000-square-foot LA Fitness gym that they expect to open, "no later than the 1st quarter of 2020."

In addition, Homesense will add its 6th New Jersey location, "in the second half of 2020".

The announcement also pegs a summer 2019 opening for BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, which is currently being built on the Hooper Avenue side of the mall.
