Lidl has been busy today!

Just this morning we told you about the Lidl that's coming to the former Best Buy location on Route 9 in Howell (an announcement that sharp-eyed readers weren't surprised by after someone let the logo slip earlier this year).

Well, it turns out that Lidl looks to be planning on opening stores in both Monmouth and Ocean Counties soon, with reports of a Brick location also coming out today.

Brick Shorebeat quoted Township Mayor John Ducey as saying that the Germany-based grocery chain, "...signed a lease and they called us to ask about what they need to open.”

The location that they've zeroed in on in Brick is the Riverwalk Shopping Center at the intersection of Brick Boulevard and Hooper Avenue, a shopping center that's been busy lately thanks to the long-awaited White Castle setting up shop next to Outback Steakhouse.

The Shorebeat story goes on to say that the size of Brick's Lidl hasn't been announced yet, and that Mayor Ducey noted that permits have not been issued yet.

We'll be sure to keep you updated as more information comes out.
