According to the latest report from Reolink.com, these are the New Jersey towns with the most crime. We are examining the Top 3 from this report.

1. Camden

Camden suffers an "average of four robberies, six assaults, and nearly nine thefts every single day. Car theft grew fast too, with over 900 stolen vehicles in 2024, many taken from street parking north of downtown."

2. Atlantic City

Atlantic City has lots of fun things to do, but it also has its share of crime. "Atlantic City logged 1,690 violent crimes per 100k, along with an overall crime risk of about 1 in 11 for residents."

3. Trenton

"New Jersey’s capital mixes politics with problems. The latest data shows 1,160 violent crimes and 2,950 property crimes per 100k."

 

 

 

 

These are your Top 3 highest crime towns as we move into the new year here in New Jersey: Camden, Atlantic City, and Trenton. Along with the "bad" news, there is some good news: New Jersey gets better marks as a state overall when it comes to crime.

Overall, there is good news for the Garden State, according to a recent crime report. A 2025–2026 Safety Index report by DataPandas ranked New Jersey as the 2nd safest state in the U.S. based largely on crime levels and public safety factors.
