Meet Jackson and Sandy-Shawn & Sue’s Pet of the Week
Jackson and Sandy are waiting for their forever home!
These beautiful ladies are Jackson and Sandy, two lab mixes that are about 11 years old and find themselves in need of a new home. The girls came to us from our Newark facility after being given up by their family when a family member was hospitalized and no one could care for the girls. One would think that after being uprooted from the only home they had ever known and brought to an unfamiliar place after 11 years, that the girls would not want much to do with us, but that is definitely not the case. They are both so friendly and outgoing, and have not stopped making friends since they arrived. The girls were a bit neglected and have some old lady lumps that are not too concerning, and they are also very overweight and need of a good diet and exercise, but their tails just never stop wagging when you give them some attention, and it really doesn't take much to make them happy. The girls are very well behaved and housebroken too. They sit nicely when asked and are perfect on a leash. They do need a home with no small children according to their former family but they don't seem to mind other laid back dogs and just adore everyone they meet. They are extremely bonded with one another so we will only be adopting them to a home where they can stay together forever.
