As we continue through the semifinal round of Mascot Madness 2017, we can make some interesting conclusions from taking a look at where things stand at this midweek point.

Toms River South Indians vs. Barnegat Bengals
Testing? Testing? Paging the Toms River South Indians, are you guys still here? After becoming our #1 seed (by an impressive margin, I might add) and roaring through the first two rounds, the Barnegat Bengals are running roughshod all over South. I say this every time and I'll say it again, it's only Wednesday, but if the Bengals keep extending their lead, the #1 seeded Indians will be watching the championship round from the sideline!

Brick Township Green Dragons vs. Central Regional Golden Eagles
After upsetting their respective Round 2 rivals, the Dragons and Eagles are locked in an impressive fight. Not only does this matchup have the sound of some epic battle right out of mythology, but the margin couldn't be much closer without being statistically tied. I'm talking a difference of single digit votes right now.

As always it's going to come down to one thing - who can motivate their fan base to vote the most between now and midnight on Sunday?
