I love photography as a hobby and I enjoy sharing my photos, many from right here at the Jersey Shore. I hope you enjoy taking some time to relax as I share my visions with you ~ Shawn Michaels
Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church .... Route 9 in Lakewood. First built in 1889. Traveling through Lakewood you'll always see the beautiful structure.....Here's a semi black and white version of the church. I highlighted some areas in color to bring out some key components.
Throughout New Jersey you'll find "Signs" of yester-year ... literally. Love this one the "Elbow Room Bar"
Anyone who grew up in South Jersey at some time had breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night coffee at "Olga's Diner" on Route 70. Opened at Marlton Circle in 1959, Olga's was named after the mother of the owner, John Stavros, a first-generation Greek American. I wanted to grab a photo before there is nothing left to remember. I took the pic and used some post editing to create more of a painting .... Thanks Olga
Ocean County Hiking Trails ... Before the snow set in. Interesting how the tree's formed an archway to walk through.
Morning Coffee! Neat packaging locally here at the Jersey Shore
I caught this gentleman walking one morning and I decided to turn this into an "abstract" piece ... no idea where he was heading but he did have his morning paper.
The New Amsterdam Theatre is a Broadway theater located at 214 West 42nd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues in the Theater District of Manhattan, New York City, off of Times Square. It was built in 1902–1903 and was designed by the architecture firm of Henry Hertz and Hugh Tallant. Some of the greats on hand the night I was there recently to see Disney's Aladdin
Love this shot I took in Times Square .... A nice NYC cross-section photo.
Historic Smithville Village. James Baremore built what is now the Smithville Inn in 1787, a single room along a well-traveled stagecoach route. However, historians debate whether it was originally planned as an inn. By 1874 the inn had grown to six times its original size. Its success was well established, but it was eventually abandoned at the turn of the 1900s. In 1952, a local couple purchased the inn and restored the building, opening it as a restaurant with 42 seats. The inn was declared a historic landmark in 1964 by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Always a fun day trip!
Skytop Lodge in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. Skytop Lodge is loctaed at the base of West Mountain in the Pennsylvania Pocono Mountains .... built in 1928.
Frozen Waterfalls in the Poconos
