October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and there are many efforts to help bring awareness and fundraising to the battle against this disease.

Every year we are a part of one of the biggest walks in New Jersey and in the country with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Pt. Pleasant Beach. It's such an inspirational day, full of pink, hope, and the community coming together.

This past weekend we joined about 20,000 people gathering in Ocean County for one purpose. We are fundraising in the battle against breast cancer. It was the annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

Every year more and more money is raised against this horrible disease in the hopes our children and grand children will not have to hear you have breast cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society this walk on Point is the 4th largest in the US for Making Strides. It's just amazing to be a part of an incredibly event every year. Thanks to everyone that came out this past Sunday. A lot of money was raised and in the hopes for well over $1 Million.

From the American Cancer Society:

Come together with survivors, caregivers, men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer. Celebrate your shared efforts. Inspire each other to carry on. And take comfort in the knowledge that because of your dedication, no one walks alone.

And boy did you come out, so many people were out there on Sunday enjoying the sunshine. It was an amazing morning.

This year there were so many businesses that came together and a title sponsor this year for the first time, Jersey Mike's.
